About the Author

General Stanley McChrystal is a retired four-star U.S. Army general whose final military assignments included commanding the International Security Assistance Force and U.S. forces in Afghanistan. He is a senior fellow at Yale University's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and co-founder of the McChrystal Group, a leadership consulting firm.
